Originals or reproductions?  What does "Limited Edition Print" mean? Some of my work is available for purchase as an original. Others are offered as Limited Edition Archival Pigmented Prints which can done in many sizes and even on a variety of surfaces, to suit your aesthetic preferences, budget, and space requirements. Each art piece comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. "Limited Edition* " means that each print is actually an original,* numbered accordingly and not to exceed the total number of the edition. These prints are not reproductions of any other of my art, unless otherwise noted. In the case of digital art, for example, this is the only way the art piece will be made physical!

Archival Pigmented Printing for the best results - What is it?  The type of printer used for this process is not the same as a standard desktop inkjet printer. The machine itself is much larger, and due to its technology can produce prints that are much more detailed, with greater color depth, and in sizes and quality well beyond the desktop variety. Archival inks and papers are just part of this special process.

Do these printers use the same kind of ink as your desktop printer?  No, they don't! The prints we offer of my work are made with only special professional quality, light-fast pigment-based inks. In addition, you'll have the best color renditions with our museum-quality prints because many more colors are used. Our inks for this process are certified as archival, and if treated properly, will last a very long time. If we're scanning, the way the image is scanned is different also, and in some cases we will take a professional large format photograph of the art piece.

What about sizes?  Depending on the piece, the printing can be done from very small to quite large. That's just one of the beautiful qualities about this exciting process--flexibility! Get the size you need for your budget and space. Not all images will be available at all sizes.

Paper, canvas, or metal?  Our custom and limited-edition prints are produced only on high quality 'fine art' archival paper. Printing on canvas offers the look of a fine painting regardless of the original medium the work was done in. You can even order it mounted and ready to hang. Prints on metal have unique clarity and vibrance, as well as a couple of ways to order them mounted. Other materials are possible, also.

*What is original, anyway?  Just to be clear, all of our archival prints are original art pieces in their own right.  In our "limited-edition" process, each one is numbered and the prints we make will never exceed the number specified on the edition. For example, if your print is number 3 out of a series of 20, it will be numbered 3/20.
