There's a lot to love in working with the layering processes of luscious pigments and textures: dry pastels!
Above: Water Series / Blue Dune
This collection of various sized pastel paintings is done on a variety of substrates including heavy textures paper, handmade Japanese papers, smooth papers, and sanded 'pastel paper.' This group is made with dry pastels only. I love that medium for the possibilities of layering and blending. Do you know about "Pan Pastels?" I enjoy using them as well as the more traditional Stick pastels. It's a completely different experience.
Creating atmospheric, imaginative expressions is a way of using color that I particularly enjoy.
Some are available framed, some are unframed. If framed, it is in a flat black or flat white paint finish. I can remove the piece from the frame and send it to you properly packed in that way also, with a firm backing board and glassing paper to protect the surface. For most of the pieces, the sizes noted are framed.
