After working for twenty-five years for residential and commercial clients in the field of decorative finishes, including murals and Venetian plaster, I am excited to be re-engaging with painting, in a variety of media, for my own personal inspiration.
In art school, my concentration was in painting and printmaking (see Monotypes), so getting back to some painting--whether in actual paint, oil-stick media, or in 'pastel painting,' is an inspiring process.
I've also included digital media here - since when I do create digital art it's often very much like physical media paintings. So, call it Painting, Drawing, or something else...digital art is here to stay and it's a medium that I personally find very enjoyable. The freedom of visual texture, movement, color ranges and layering, using patterns--and more--offers an immediacy that is not so easily achievable in other media. Even with that, and regardless of the subject, there is still the usual thought to color, composition, and feeling that is essential in any other medium. Digital paintings are available for purchase in a physical form - ask about pricing for custom sizing and available surface. These are printed in limited editions only.
Please note that some of my work is available for purchase as original, but just about any of them can be created for you--in many cases in a custom size and on a variety of surfaces, in the museum quality Archival Pigmented Prints (sometimes called "giclee") that I offer. Just ask! These prints are not made in open editions for mass reproduction.
